Step 1 of the plan · Name the studio

Four directions to choose from.

Each name comes with a whole look — colours, fonts and a logo feel — so choosing a name also chooses the vibe your socials, business cards and Dad's websites will share. Pick the one that feels like you two, then check it's free (guide at the bottom).

Editorial & feminine. Growth, blooming, glow-up — warm but polished. This is the look already live on your plan site, so choosing it means zero rework.

Best for: a confident, magazine-style brand that still reads friendly. Alt names: Bloombird, In Bloom Co.

Premium & unisex. Clean, gold-touched and grown-up. Reads expensive, and works just as well for a café or a tradie later as it does for a salon.

Best for: aiming at higher-end salons & premium prices. Alt names: Halo & Co, Lumen Studio.

Playful & young. Fun, warm and TikTok-native. This is the most "two sisters who get it" option — approachable and instantly likeable.

Best for: younger salons, nail & lash techs, mobile beauty. Alt names: Peachy Social, Sweet Feed.

Chic & boutique. Timeless, a little moody, very "beauty brand". High-contrast serif and blush tones that photograph beautifully on a grid.

CHECK 01

Social handles

Search the name on Instagram & TikTok. You want a matching (or very close) @handle available on both.

CHECK 02

Business name

Search ASIC Connect's free "check name availability" and Google it locally so you're not clashing with another QLD studio.

CHECK 03

Domain

See if the .com.au or .com is free (any registrar). Dad can grab it when he builds the site.

My pick to start

Bloom Social or Peachy. Bloom is the safe, polished choice and your site already wears it — pick it and you're launched today. Peachy is the bolder, more personality-forward bet if you want to lean into being two young, fun sisters. Either is a great home base; you can always refine the logo later once money's coming in. Tell me which way you lean and I'll switch the whole site + kit to match and move it to a clean URL.
